The Vellagio is the latest development from HAB Group, the developers of Villa Renaissance, The Regent Grand and The Regent Village, and the owners of Provo Turks and Caicos Golf Club, Turks and Caicos Water Company and Provo Water Company.

HAB Group was founded in 1983 acquiring significant tracts of land on both Providenciales and North Caicos for future development. Recognizing the property development potential of the island, they then purchased Turks and Caicos Water Company in 1989, which in turn allowed them to embark upon their first development, Provo Golf Club. By 1992 they had built and developed the now high-profile and hugely popular Provo Golf and Country Club, successfully managing both golf club and water company operations in addition to commencing further developments, this time on the beachfront at Grace Bay. Further land purchases were also undertaken, again including land on North Caicos and elsewhere on Providenciales, positioning HAB Group as one of the most significant landowners and most successful businesses in the region.

As a result, HAB Group have been at the forefront of the Providenciales Luxury resort property development boom and now have a growing reputation in the Turks and Caicos Islands as outstanding developers of luxury beachfront condominiums. Providenciales has grown into a world renowned, high-end holiday destination and an ideal location for property investment, and HAB Group is proud to have played a significant part in that growth.

The architects, Resort Architecture & Design Ltd, specialize in hospitality, commercial and residential projects. Previous work includes The Palms and The Veranda on Providenciales, The Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai and Table Bay Hotel in Capetown, South Africa. RAD is dedicated to providing innovative design solutions while respecting its client’s economic and aesthetic goals. The RAD mission is to attain superior design through the engagement of exceptional people, practices and principles.

JACA TCI Ltd is the main contractor for the development. Originating in Mexico, they have been involved in the construction of numerous hotels and commercial developments including Texas Instruments (Mexico) Headquarters, Atlantis Resort, the renovation of The Four Seasons Hotel in Nevis and the $50m renovation and extension of Palmilla Los Cabos in Baja, California. Their introduction to Providenciales was as main contractor on HAB Group’s The Regent Grand and the Regent Village, during which time they have expanded rapidly allowing them to work with other developers in the region. They bring with them a wealth of international construction experience and their timeliness and standards of finish have been in evidence in each of their HAB Group developments. They work closely with the local structural engineering firm of EDS Ltd and the mechanical and electrical firm of Building Services Design Ltd, in addition to HAB Group’s project managers, to ensure that the highest standards of construction excellence will be continued in the completion of The Vellagio.
